Practice-A-Thon

We are fundraising for Southern Star Band based on student practice time! This means

the people in your life can donate any set amount of money per minute that you practice!!

(Example:: Dr. Block donates $0.25 for every minute that Elise practices. This means Elise

fundraises $15 for an hour (60 minutes) of practice!)

1. Set a Goal of how many minutes you will practice in 29 days. 600? 1000? 250?

2. Gather Support - Find friends, family and adults who are close to you! (This can be

at church, other schools, etc.) Fill out the sponsorship form between January 25th and

January 30th!

3. PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE! The Practice - A - Thon will occur from February 1st to

February 29th. Remember - you can practice as many minutes as you want! Record

the minutes you practice for those 29 days on the calendar provided.

4. Total up Minutes On March 1st, students and parents should work together to add up

the total minutes practiced from the calendar and fill in the red areas of the pledge

form.

5. Contact your sponsors to collect the donations. Let them know how well you did

and how long you practiced to receive the right amount!

6. Gather money: Checks should be made to Southern Star Fine Arts. Donations can

7. Rock your spring concert and music festival!
